Stats – The Conference Years

Stevenage Borough were promoted to the Football Conference (then known as the Vauxhall Conference) in the 1994/1995 season.  After spending 16 seasons in the top flight of Non League, Stevenage Borough finally made it to the promised land of League Football – being promoted as Champions from The Blue Square Premier at the end of the 2009/2010 season.

Below is a set of graphs that plot some interesting metrics during our Conference years.  It is far from exhaustive and it is likely that more will be added in time.

The history website would like to acknowledge Boroguide which was used as the reference data source for the compiling of these statistics.

Points Haul

The points available to win increased by 12 from the start of the 2006/2007 season as the size of the Conference increased from 22 to 24 teams.  In the 2009/2010 Championship winning Chester City were expelled from the Conference with all results expunged, which effectively reduced the points available by 6.  Boro beat Chester City home and away that season so the impressive points haul of 99 would have been 105.
